Dr Leigh-Ann Elias BChD, DipOdont (Oral Surgery), MFDS RCSEd, MSc (Maxillo-Facial & Oral Surgery), MOralSurg RCSEd
Dr Leigh-Ann Elias is a Senior Clinical Teacher in Oral Surgery and a Senior Clinician in the multidisciplinary Orofacial Pain team at King’s College London. With over 25 years of clinical experience, she specialises in complex orofacial pain and trigeminal neuropathies. Her multidisciplinary team includes psychology, psychiatry, physiotherapy, ENT, neurosurgery, and headache neurology. Dr Elias holds postgraduate qualifications from the University of Pretoria and the Royal College of Surgeons Edinburgh, including an MSc in Maxillo-Facial and Oral Surgery. She has published in Cephalalgia and the British Dental Journal, with research focused on pain mechanisms, neuropathic screening tools, and patient-centred outcomes. She is an active member of the UK’s orofacial pain consortium and lectures widely to general dental practitioners and specialists, promoting collaborative, evidence-based approaches to pain management.
