About the event
Erosive Tooth Wear is the third most common cause of poor oral health and recent advances in scientific understanding of its progression have improved our ability to diagnose and prevent the condition. There have also been several advances in treatment strategies which have expanded interest amongst dentists and dental care professionals.

Dr Austin graduated Dentistry with Honours from the University of Manchester (2006), Dental Foundation Training with a Membership at the Royal College of Surgeons of England (2008), a PhD in Enamel Erosion (2011) and Specialty Registrar Training in Prosthodontics with a Masters in Clinical Dentistry with Distinction and Membership in Prosthodontics at the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh (2015). He was appointed an Honorary Consultant in Prosthodontics at Guy’s and St. Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust in 2017.
He is a Clinical Senior Lecturer and Consultant in Prosthodontics at King’s College London’s Faculty of Dentistry, Oral & Craniofacial Sciences. Dr Austin is also Service Lead for Digital Dentistry at Guy’s and St.Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust Dental Directorate.
