Alpha Omega (London) was honoured to recently host the fantastic Mr. John Milne for his presentation on the ins and outs of the CQC and how not to panic!

The lecture was held at the BDA in Wimpole Street where AO have held many of our previous dental lectures.

Sadly, this was one of several events taking place at the BDA before it closes its doors in Wimpole Street and moves to another central London location after having been at number 64 since 1967.
(Alpha Omega has happily arranged for another location for our upcoming lectures just a few hundred yards away. Details on the website)
The event marked the end of an era, and we couldn’t have asked for a more engaging and insightful presentation to bring this chapter to a close especially since John Milne was the BDA chair for six years.

With his extensive experience working with the Care Quality Commission, John delivered an outstanding lecture that provided invaluable insights into the CQC's role within dentistry.
He skilfully navigated what can often be a complex and challenging subject, transforming it into a thought-provoking and engaging session for everyone in attendance.
His ability to convey essential information with clarity and relevance ensured that all participants came away with a better understanding of the importance of patient safety, regulatory compliance, and high-quality care.

John generously shared practical advice and actionable tips on how to align our day-to-day clinical practices with CQC standards, always emphasising the fundamental principle of putting patient safety first.
The lecture sparked a lively and insightful discussion, with attendees reflecting on how the CQC's guidelines influence our roles as clinicians and the care we provide.

We are deeply grateful to John for his time, expertise, and dedication. It was an entertaining and educational evening, and we look forward to carrying these lessons forward in our ongoing commitment to excellence in dentistry.
