Update from The Alpha Omega London Charitable Trust 2023

Background: The Alpha Omega London Charitable Trust was established in 1972 and continues to be extremely active in its mission to support the ‘advancement of dental education, research and care, wherever it is needed’. The Trustees, who represent both the London Chapter and Trust, meet regularly to ensure appropriate and prompt distribution of funds to worthy causes always creating a positive social impact and ensuring the highest levels of governance.

The Alpha Omega London Charitable Trust has made a donation to the Galilee College of Dental Sciences in order to facilitate the purchase of a digital camera for a dental operating microscope together with a monitor and fixing bracket.

Here is a letter of thanks from Professor Samer Srouji: DMD, PhD

Chief of Oral and Maxillofacial, Oral Medicine Institute

Head Of Bone Regeneration Lab

Galilee Medical Center

Dear Professor Eder,

Once again, I would like to thank you for your kind support in the Galilee College of Dental Sciences.

The camera and screen have been received and are now mounted on the microscope. I am attaching 3 photographs demonstrating their use by our Endo residents:

The camera is attached to the microscope, and the image can be observed on the screen behind.

The second photograph shows how the patient can be instructed about her problem.

And the third photograph was a photo taken through the camera on the microscope demonstrating a cracked tooth.

We established the Galilee College of Dental Sciences at the Galilee Medical Center which to date has five specialities. This donation can propel us forward to become a centre of excellence for dental specialists in Israel's Galilee region, as well as a premier centre of advanced research in several fields including tissue engineering, 3D printing and more.

On my behalf and on behalf of the medical centre's administration, I want to express my gratitude for your time, support, and dedication to advancing healthcare in Israel's periphery. We believe that ongoing advanced education and training are the key ingredients for our maintaining leading medical care for some 660,000 residents in northern Israel that Galilee Medical Center serves. In 2023, we plan to open two more residencies at the College of Dental Sciences, in Prosthodontics and Periodontics.

Again, thank you for your time support and efforts on behalf of Galilee College of Dental Sciences.
