Alpha Omega was honoured and delighted to hear Professor Tim Newton talking about The mental health and Wellbeing of the Dental Team. His presentation was erudite and apposite, both for the times we live in and for those professionals just starting out or approaching retirement.
Professor Newton painted a familiar picture of how we often have to juggle standard of care for our patients while keeping, dare I say it, a work/life balance for ourselves.
Prior to this presentation our honoured guest, Yoni Yagodovsky, Director of International Relations for Magen David Adom gave us a quick resume of the history of the foundation of MDA and its current function both in Israel and abroad, most lately in Ukraine. Alpha Omega trust donates funds to this excellent organisation which is Israel's national emergency medical, disaster, ambulance and blood bank service serving all Arab and Jewish communities in Israel.
As usual there was a strong element of social camaraderie and friends old and new meeting at the end of the day to renew and refresh!
We welcomed new members with coffee and bagels and open arms!
